Kayak sketch

My pitiful sketch but I learned. Startled a deer on the way. He just stared at me wondering what kind of creature I was with my wide pointy green bottom.i should say..I was in a brightgreen kayak.

This was more than five min but I've started a habit everyday and love getting in my one sketch a day. I feel like I've accomplished something. And trying new things. Toned tan sketch book. You have to get out the white Conte, though.

A very long sketch

Ok this wasn't 5 min but the vine charcoal part was. I'm just doing thin washes. I'm seeing how critical it is.. getting the drawing right.

Well this took a bit longer than 5 minutes.i got the structure down then added color. Pretty bad but I drew with my finger on my phone. Didn't want to get out of bed.

I meant to say that this was more like 6 minutes. It's a self portrait bust Mom did in about 1969 and it's such a fixture at her house that I rarely notice it anymore. It's about 6 inches tall.
